Our Advanced Technology

In order to provide truly top-of-the-line dentistry, you need the right tools, and that’s exactly what we have here at Premier Care Dental in Medford. We continually update our office and work hard to stay on top of the latest advancements in dentistry so we can provide care that is always fast, precise, and comfortable. Below, you can learn more about some of the great tools we’ll use to streamline and improve your dental experience.

Intraoral Camera

With our intraoral camera, you’ll finally be able to see your smile from your dentist’s point of view. This small, pen-sized camera can be effortlessly maneuvered through the mouth to capture high-resolution images of your teeth and gums that we can then display on a large, chairside monitor. This will make it much easier for you to understand your dental health, plus it will allow our team to show you rather than just tell you why you might need a specific treatment.

Digital X-Rays

Compared to traditional dental X-rays, which are made using film, digital X-rays are an improvement in just about every way you can imagine. They can create crystal clear images almost instantly, they don’t need time to be developed, and better yet, they expose our patients (and our team) to 90% LESS radiation. Plus, because everything is digital, the images can be easily sent, stored, and displayed on a monitor for you to go over with your dentist.

CT / Cone Beam Scanner

Sometimes, we need a little more information than what a regular X-ray can show us, and in these situations, we tend to use our CT/cone beam scanner. With this device, we can create a fully digital 3D image of your teeth, jaw, head, and even the surrounding soft tissues. In addition to being just really cool to look at, this kind of image also enables us to formulate precise treatment plans for more complex procedures such as dental implant placement and wisdom tooth extraction.
